This has to be one of the biggest scams around, it took forever to get, when I tried to cancel I was told it was already shipped, but if still took 2 1/2 more wks, The product did not work, when I called and stated I was returning I was told I will be credited the full price of $27.89. I in turn was only credited by purchase price. The only way it would have cost near $12.90 to ship if it was sent express, which it was not.

I'm in hot muggy Alabama in the middle of summer and thought this product might work. I watched the TV commercial a little too late at night and apparently wasn't thinking too clearly. It took 8 weeks to arrive and then didn't work at all! Not to mention that the cup insert is as dorky as it can be, also a rip-off! -- The TV advertisement that had one car with 107 degrees inside and the one with Autocool was 74 degrees inside is simply a bunch of hoohey! When they say individual results will vary, that's entirely to prevent being sued for false advertising. Yes, the fan turns a bit, but the hot air remains and the product does nothing to make the inside of the car cooler than the outside. Utterly amazing that that this company is still in business....Bottom line - no stars out of five!! Stay way clear of Auto Cool

Don't believe the advertising - this product does not work. For the few minutes the sun is in the right place to power the fan, it barely moves and certainly makes NO difference to the temperature inside the car. Total rip-off, but no point in returning it as you won't get a refund on your S&H ($8.00), and you have to pay S&H to send it back. I'm going to use mine as a lawn ornament, and a constant reminder of not to take any notice of advertising !!

This is absolutely one of the worst products I have ever tried. It did not lower the temperature in my car at all...Quite a scam... Great idea though... If it only worked....

I live in AZ. I know what heat is! We vacation in Hell because it's mild compared to a phoenix summer. This thing is junk!!! Glad my buddy had one to try! It would make a great skeet. Glad I bought "cooled seat covers" instead. Keeps my back dry. This is skirting fraud. Hey, maybe you guys wanna buy my solar powered "foot cool" fan? Patent pending....

7/23/2006 - John of Arizona, USA writes:
total and complete junk. Took forever to get and absoutely, positively does nothing to cool my car. Not worth the shipping to return. What a scam. Buyer beware

These people are making a ton of money on shipping stuff you dont order. They will not refund shipping and processing. It does not work at all. It's a great idea I wish it worked but it doesn't. Dont waist your money!!!

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! The product works as advertised (fan turns with solar power) but doesn't do as advertised. Car wasn't cooled even one degree.

7/20/2006 - Warren of North Carolina, USA writes:
I had two of these units in my car. The fans turn quite weakly, so don't move much air. Just leaving your windows open a crack would work just as well. Too bad, because this seemed like a really great idea!

7/19/2006 - Marsha of Ohio, USA writes:
This thing does not work! I could not even get the fan to start. Buyer beware. Keeping your window cracked an inch or two works just as good!

7/19/2006 - Cameron of Texas, USA writes:
I figured I'd give the product a shot, living in the south. First, it takes FOREVER to actually get the product, though they bill your CC immediately. Second, it just doesn't work. I bought two, and even with two units on one vehicle they did no good. Don't waste your time or money.

7/18/2006 - Joanne of South Carolina, USA writes:
If it's too good to be true......this certainly pertains to this product. Great concept - it JUST DOESN'T WORK - PERIOD!! Received today - will be sending it back tomorrow for a full refund. I feel very foolish for thinking it actually would work - glad they have a 30 day money back guarantee!!

7/17/2006 - Corinne of Tennessee, USA writes:
I am in the south and am not used to this weather coming from the north. It has not done a darn bit of good. I wouldn't buy it again and I hope this stops others from wasting their money.

7/15/2006 - Tom of California, USA writes:
I tried Auto Cool and to make the fan work it must be as close to the sun as the space shuttle. I wish I would have read the ratings before buying two.

7/12/2006 - William of Virginia, USA writes:
I tried out the product I had seen on TV. The advertisers claimed that the unit would cool the insides of your car. A friend got one and was displeased, he gave it to me to try. I live in the south where the summer sun can be intolerable. I measured the temp. inside my car one day and it read 145 deg. The next day I installed the cooler and the temp was 170 deg! Indeed a piece of trash.

7/8/2006 - Jack of Oregon, USA writes:
This product is nothing but a joke. My car was cooled about four degress. It is cheaply made and will probably break in a sort time. AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7/6/2006 - Thomas of Pennsylvania, USA writes:
This product is a fraud !! Got this from a friend and tried it. With this installed with and without the weatherstripping my car cooled less than 3 degrees. Weatherstripping is also a pain to install.
