so i acutally hought of this idea and when i seen it on tv i bought it out of spite knowing its a waste of money and wouldn't work... first if your windows are tinted it blocks the very uv rays that are suppose to power it... second on newer model cars if the power window detects something in the way going up, the window comes back down making it very difficuly to install the system... third the only time the fan rotated is when i was doing 80 and held it out the window... HORRIBLE... unfortunatly this is a great concept but not nearly enough development... car makers should develop an exhuast system built into the cars... now that would be a good idea and great selling point... especially for sun cities...

I was shocked to open my AutoCool (received 5 1/2 weeks after ordered) and read on the packaging that "THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS MATERIALS FOUND IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO CAUSE CANCER, BIRTH DEFECTS, AND OTHER REPRODUCTIVE HARM" Not only is the product dangerous, it also stated not to use on tinted windows (which I have), or on cars that don't have a metal frame above the window (again, me). ALL of this information should have been disclosed BEFORE the purchase, not that it mattered, because the product did not work at ALL anyway.

I ordered 1,received 2. Tried product it doesn't work. Called to return told label would be coming, no label. called again said it should be here by 9/1/06.

I had purchased two Auto Cools - one for my un-air conditioned car, the other for my partner's air conditioned car. After waiting a total of two or three months to even receive the product, I finally received them today and immediately installed it in the air conditioned car. After about two hours, I compared the temperature in my un-air conditioned car to the car with the Auto Cool - the car with the Auto Cool was actually HOTTER! This product doesn't even work - take my advice and save your money.

This product was nothing like the said it would be. I tried it yesterday at the waterslides and when I can out thinking that it should have worked my car was so hot it wasn't funny. the autocool it self was so hot I couldn't touch it. So don't buy this waste of time and money.

I bought two of these pieces of junk. They sent and charged me for 3. Please, $7.95 EACH!!! for S&H.I bet it'll be cheaper than $7.95 to ship all 3 of these pieces of junk back. Plus, their weather stripping wasn't long enough to do my Mustang.

Sounds good in theory, but the unit isn't powerful enough to do anything. First of all, the actual solar panel is way to small to produce any substantial voltage. I pointed a maglight at the thing, and it barely moved. If the solar cell was larger, it might be better in this area. Next, the interior air flow design is not laid out correctly, and the fan blades are not positioned at the proper angles. If this was designed a little better with better materials, it may have worked fine. In reality though, it's just a $20 waste of space.

I finally got this product after about a month even though I paid extra for express shipping. I bought 2 of them figuring it wood work even better, especially since I have a big SUV. Tried it today... It does not work!!! I took it out and placed it on direct sunlight during my lunch break at work... nothing!!! absolutely nothing... the internal temp was still a scorching 98 degrees F. I feel like such an idiot!!! piece of junk!!!

Auto Cool does not work. Do not purchase Auto Cool. There is not way to contact the company directly or find out how to return the item. I hear you end up paying too much for S&H+processing your return anyway. What a huge disappointment that this company can't even honor a decent return policy. 0 stars out of 5 rating....

If I could, I would rate this product at minus 5 stars....it is just a toy fan that really doesn't perform very well, doesn't fit window very well...in fact doesn't do anything very well!!

This fan is probably the worst product I've ever purchased online or from TV. It never cooled my car, even tho' I was very careful to park in the sun. I couldn't even feel a breeze from the fan. The weather strips were very hard to place on my windows and the first time I opened that window, they fell out on the ground. It was the biggest disappointment I've ever received in the mail.

8/23/2006 - Dexter of Tennessee, USA writes:
the auto cool sucks. it don't work. it don't cool the car, truck or van down any. i parked my car for 1 hour the inside the temp when i parked the car was 92 after 1 hour with the auto cool running the full time the temp was 114. i have been ripped off.

I could hardly wait to get my auto cool. I bought two thinking I would put one in my wife's car also. What a waste. It doesn't do a thing, except take up window space. The fan turns when sunlight is on the unit, but the fan is so small it isn't strong enough to move the air inside a shoe box, much less a vehicle.

8/20/2006 - Don of Illinois, USA writes:
Product works ONLY if your window is pointed directly at the sun, and only through window with no tint of any kind including factory tinting. No matter how lightly tinted.

I was so excited to get my auto cool. Installed it into my car and NOTHING!!! Do not buy this product. It is nothing but a ripoff.

8/17/2006 - Terry of Florida, USA writes:
When the product arrived, both wires inside were off, as well as the "solar" cover on the outside. I reglued everything back together and installed it in my car in direct sunlight. This product did absolutely NOTHING! This company will probably make thousands off of this useless product. How can they get away with putting this on the market? Only in America.....

8/17/2006 - Steven of California, USA writes:
This product does not produce any air what-so-ever. Very upset that this product was even allowed to be sold in the USA. I will never purpace another product from an infomercial.

It gets hot in LasVegas and the Advertisement looked good. Bought 3 so I could give to friends. Just got them today and immediately put one in my automobile. It's only about 100 today and the Auto Cool does not do what it says it will do. Car is just as hot as without it. Now perhaps it only works on smaller autos. There you have it does not work in a Suburban.

JUNK!!! Absolute GARBAGE.... Don't waste your money, this thing does NOTHING, except keep your car window from closing (which the window seal is supposed to assure).
