If you're serious, have time and have money - this works! We got this 2 years ago and my boyfriend lost 30lbs and I lost 27. It took from Feb 1,2005 to May 18,2005 (the day we left for vacation) to do it. (More than 6 weeks, but we didn't follow it to a T).Since then he gained 20 of his back and I gained 12(5 just in the last month from binge eating). We started again 4 days ago and have lost 4lbs each. Eating healthy means spending more money. I don't sit down at night until 9-9:30. I come home from work, make dinner, then prepare the indiviual containers for both of us for the next day. These containers are the key. You're eating all the time and they keep us from reaching for the junk. We've tried the carb diets, zone diets and starvation diets - none of them compare. If you're willing to spend the time, money and effort-this works!

I've yo-yoed for years. This sounded too good to be real. And of course, it was. I loathe fish and am allergic to shellfish. And cooking for 4 people 2 of whom are underweight this cost me a fortune to keep up with. I stayed for 6 weeks, what a waste. Save your money, I wish I had saved mine.

The concept is great, but for someone like me who can't eat any type of fish - i had to eat turkey EVERY DAY - yuck. Mom lost a little weight on program, but it's too hard to stick to full time... Great diet for 6-weeks, then you'll gain it back when you eat real food again!

We had the best intentions when we purchased this product,it lasted 3-4 weeks...The diet is awfull to follow, having been on a few diets, this one is probably the worst. The way they teach you to prepare the food makes it virtually tasteless therefore you feel like you're not really eating! But you have to eat almost 6 meals a day in tiny portions...that means LOTS of cooking and LOTS of packing food for the day. The exercise does help, but there are sooo many moves to remember and it has to be done in a certain order and the order changesm its very hard to remember how to do them so everytime you need to refer to the DVD, this makes it a very LONG process. Since its resistance training and you're sculpting your body not burning calories with the exercise, you dont get the exercise "high" after your workout and its not as satisfying.

There is nothing particularly new in the package. I am sure it would work if you can stick to the diet recommended and do the exercises. The diet is just too restrictive for me. If I COULD eat like this, I would have started a long time ago but I don't think most people could follow it for a long period of time. When you remove all the hooks and bells and whistles, it is basically the same advice....exercise regularly and probably more than you have been, lower your fat intake, choose lean proteins and good fats and eat as many vegetables and fruits as you can. I don't see anything here that makes it worth the money. I have returned mine and had no problem contacting Customer Service and getting a return auth number. I'll be interested to see how long it takes to have my money refunded.

On November 1, 2003 I sat on a hotel bed as depressed as I have ever been. The night before I weighed on a scale at the mall and discovered that I weighed over 350 lbs. While channel surfing, I began to watch an infomercial about Six Week Body Makeover, and I doubted everything that Michael Thurmond had to say. By the end of the program, I was on the phone ordering my kit. By June 1 of 2004 - just seven full months later, I had lost 110 pounds. I have read reviews complaining about the food. I could not disagree more. The food is different from what I ate before - that much I admit. Of course, I ended up at 350 lbs eating hamburgers, pizza, and ice cream. Six Week Body Makeover is designed to maximize your body's own metabolism ad it does that with the foods you eat. I absolutely endorse it and hope that you will try it.

I am half way throught the 3rd week, want to drop 20lbs and have lost 9lb to date. My energy level is very high & I can get up easy in the morning now. A professional body builder friend of mine does a very similar program for when he is about to do a show. It is hard to eat all the food (even harder to cook it all the time). [] book is the next best thing and very similar in concept of metabolism but much easier to stick to but results are slower to notice. When I cheat on 6wbm program, I do the Abs Diet meals (that way its only half a cheat). The 6wbm is for the serious, no doubt, but it will work if you work. If you can't, read the [] book, it's a good substitute and a quarter the cost.

There is not enough space for a full review of this horrible product and company. The bottom line? I believe you will lose weight if (and that's a big IF) you can stick to it, but I found the food entirely too restrictive, the prep entirely too involved, and the exercises are not easily achievable. Also, their "money back guarantee" was no to be. I emailed about returning the item (as the site requested) twice with no response. By the time I called, I was one day beyond the 6-week trial and they claimed they never got any emails and refused to give me my money back.

If you actually do the program, it works great! The food is not the best, but guess what? It's a heck of alot better than being fat. I lost 85 lbs and went from a size 20 to a size 6. (I'm 5'11). Believe me, it's worth it. I found ways to spice up the chicken and egg whites and greens! You want results, you have to work for it!

this is not at all indivialize and too expensive. the commercial is actually so magcal and in reality you have to do a strict diet. and these are the healty foos which if one start eating he or she will automatically reduce. so its a bull shit that by eating certain food one will reduce

When I got this product, I faithfully went through ALL the many questions they asked me to figure out just which "body type" I have. It all sounds very helpful, but you'll notice that EVERY body that has over 20 pounds to lose ALL have the SAME body type (I think the number is accurate, you'd have to ask someone who kept the thing). Hmm... sounded suspicious to me. Does my body type suddenly change once I'm within 20 pounds of my goal? How can you possibly call this an "individualized" program?? And, yeah, I'm sure I could have lost weight if I'd been willing to eat egg whites for my main protein.... There's far healthier ways to lose weight. For those of you for whom it's worked, wow... But it's not for this individual... Glad I got my money back!

I watched the infomercial for over a year...it seemed too easy to work...eat more, exercise less and lose weight? No Way. YES WAY!!! I started the program on 6/12 and have lost 26 lbs in 18 days! This is NOT a diet, this is a totally new healthy lifestyle. If you follow your individual plan you CAN NOT fail. If you want to lose the fat and replace it with the body you've always dreamed of, this is the answer to your prayers. If weight loss is your dilemma you can't afford NOT to purchase this plan.

If only someone would have told me before; I could've saved $120. I watched the infomercial every chance I could. As far as the info provided, I agree that if you eat lots of mini meals it'll boost your metabo..any nutritionist would agree. But saying I can basically only eat chicken and fish and turkey and bland veggies and egg whites and no salt. You'd almost rather starve. There were times I was forcing myself to eat it. No one wants to live like that, and there's no way you can make something that horrible into a lifestyle. I did lose about 13 lbs in a month. I was already working out daily so i did this for the diet portion. If it worked for you that's great, but it just wasn't for me. I just wished I would have given up on it soon enough to return it.

It took a long time to review all the material that was delivered. After determining my body type, I had to eat more chicken and vegetables and exercise about 60 minutes a day. I felt like this product did not provide anything new or revealing when I consider the total cost of the system. We all know that we must exercise more and eat less to loose weight. The infomercial said that we could exercise less because our exercising would be more targeted. We could eat more because we would be eating the foods that were best suited for our body type. Thank God that I received a refund within the trial period. Don't waste your money!! Just exercise more and eat less.

In a period of 18 weeks I have lost 45 lbs. I have 40 to go. The thing about this program is, if you WANT to lose weight, and you FOLLOW the plan, you WILL lose an average of 3 lbs a week! I have also learned HOW to eat, something other plans have not taught me. I really have to laugh at the bad reviews, because most of them comment about having to eat HEALTHY foods for meals ( greens, fish, unprocessed foods). Listen, if you could still eat McDonalds, steak, and french fries it would be great, but the REALITY is if you WANT to lose weight you have to start eating whole HEALTHY foods! If you have a problem with removing processed food from your diet, try another plan!

I tried this product and thought that it took a lot of work to start with, but I did all the work because I really wanted to lose the weight. What I found out was that my "body type" had to eat "greens" for a morning snack! Who eats greens at 10am? Not me. I believe this program would work if you followed it, but the foods you are allowed to eat does not make it appealing enough to me to make me even want to follow it.

I have this system. I rate it as excellent but you have to stick with it. I am lazy and have not followed the exercises as I should. You can lose weight but in order to tone up you have to use the whole system. You can not be lazy with this one.

I purchased this, as i am statistically overweight, and was willing to try it. what i found out, after reading all the information, and finding my body type, was that in order to lose weight, i was supposed to eat fish everyday. i absolutely HATE fish. the things i would like to eat, as they show on the infomercial are not for my body type. i also waited too long to return it, so im stuck with the $100 bad advice. you couldnt force me to eat fish ever, not worth it to me at all
